قبل التطور الذي عرفته الهند، كانت بانغالور مدينة صغيرة هادئة. يقصدها الهنديون للراحة و الاستمتاع بنمط حياة هادئ. مع التقدم الإقتصادي و التكنلوجي، انفجر عدد سكانها . فأصبحت بانغالور ثالث أكبر مدينة في الهند و مركزها التكنلوجي.
كالعديد من المدن الحديثة، قد لا تعكس بانغالور الجانب المميز للهند و الصورة السحرية التي نتخيلها عن هذا البلد. لكنها نقطة مهمة لولوج الهند بفضل مطارها الدولي و معبر مهم للتنقل بين مدن الجنوب.
تعرف بانغالور بمدينة الحدائق في الهند. إقامتنا فيها كانت استراحة في برنامج رحلتنا. و فرصة لاكتشاف أحد المنتجعات الجبلية المحببة للبانغالوريين لقضاء وقت ممتع بعيدا عن ازدحام المدينة و صخبها.
حدائق بانغالور: منتزه كبون Cubbon Park
تعتبر هذه الحديقة رئة المدينة. أسست سنة 1870. تقع في قلب المدينة و تمتد على مساحة شاسعة تفوق الأربعين هكتارا. تضم هذه الحديقة العديد من المرافق كمكتبة، و متاحف مساحلت لعب للأطفال. يمكن أن تحتمي من حر المدينة و صخبها داخل المنتزه.
تلال ناندي Nandi Hill
منتجع جبلي على بعد 60 كلم شمال بانغالور. من الأماكن المحببة للبانغالوريين لقضاء عطلة الأسبوع . و الإستمتاع بطقس ألطف و الإبتعاد عن ازدحام المدينة و صخبها. لهواة المشي يمكن صعود 1,478 مترا للوصول إلى قمة الجبل ?.
عبر الجو: مطار بانغالور الدولي. رحلات دولية و داخلية: مدة الرحلة من مومباي حوالي الساعتين.
عبر القطار: من هوسبت (هامبي) رحلة ليلية تستغرق حوالي 9 ساعات.
