هل أدارت الهند ظهرها لغاندي؟

الماهاتما غاندي  رمز حركة إستقلال الهند عن الإستعمار البريطاني. قاد حركة العصيان المدني لتحرير بلاده و ظل مدافعا عن حقوق المستضعفين و الفقراء. لُقِّب بأب الأمة و صار مثلا أعلى للعديد من الهنديين. و أيقونة لا يختلف على احترامها اثنان.

الماهاتما غاندي من أكثر الشخصيات إثارة للإعجاب في العالم. كان كفاحه ملهما للعديد من حركات الحريات و زعمائها كمارتن لوتر كينغ و نيلسون مانديلا. و صارت مبادئه التي روّج لها دليلا يتبعه الكثيرون للسير على خطاه.

أثناء زيارتي للهند تساءلت العديد من المرات عن مصير الإرث الثقافي لغاندي. ألا تزال مبادؤه مؤثرة في الحياة اليومية للهنديين  أم أصبحت مجرد شعارات تردد في ذكراه السنوية  ثم تنسى سريعا؟ حاولت الإجابة عن هذا السؤال من خلال ثلاثة من المبادئ التي كان غاندي يدعو لها.

مبدأ اللاعنف

تصادف اليوم الأول لوجودنا في الهند مع اندلاع مواجهات عنيفة في مدينة بون بين اثنتين من الطوائف الهندية، على خلفية خلاف سياسي تاريخي. إنتقلت شرارة المواجهات سريعا لمومباي حيث كنا قد حططنا رحالنا. خلفت المواجهات في يومها الأول قتيلا واحدا.  و أسفرت عن اضراب عام شمل مجالات عديدة كادت تتسبب في مبيتنا في الشارع في الليلة الأولى. الفندق كان متواجدا في غالبية سكانه من إحدى الطائفتين المتنازعتين و سائقو الأجرة كانوا يرفضون الذهاب إليه.  في اليوم الثاني لوجودنا بمومباي، و بعد أن اضطررنا لتغيير الفندق تجنبا للوقوع في نفس مشكل اليوم الأول. فوجئنا  بحركة مشلولة في وسط المدينة التاريخي و السياحي. و عناصر الأمن منتشرة في المكان.  بعد استفسارنا عن سبب إغلاق جميع المحلات أخبرنا أحد المارة أنهناك  إضرابا عاما دعت إليه إحدى الطائفتين. و من يتجرأ على مخالفته من التجار يعرّض محله للكسر كعقاب له.
حق الإضراب و الإحتجاج مكفول في الدول الديمقراطية.  غير أن ما راعني هنا هو الطابع العنيف الذي رافقه من مواجهات و قتل و اتلاف للعديد من المنشآت تشمل حافلات مدرسية.  لاشك أن غاندي كان سيسندد بهذه التصرفات التي لا تمث بصلة لمبدأ الإحتجاج السلمي و نبذ العنف الذي كان يدعو له.

مبدأ الحياة البسيطة

اختار غاندي طابع حياة بسيط. كان  يحيك ملابسه بنفسه و كانت غرفته تحتوي على أثاث قليل.  هذا المبدأ يرتبط ارتباطا وثيقا بالقناعة و الزهد. أثناء جولتنا بالهند، صادفنا أشخاصا يبدو الطمع على . كسائق الأجرة الذي وافق على إيصالنا إلى الفندق في الليلة الأولى بعد أن اشترط دفع مبلغ مبالغ فيه جدا جدا يكاد يساوي ثمن تذكرة طائرة. فقط لأنه رأى في مأزقنا كسائحين فرصة للربح السريح. بالمقابل، صادفنا أشخاصا رائعين على امتداد رحلتنا. كرماء، قنوعين و بسطاء في عيشتهم.  كبائع الموز الذي رفض احتساب مبلغ الضعف لنا، كما كان أغلب الباعة يفعلون (و كنا ندفع بسعة صدر).  و صاحب الفندق الذي سمح لنا بالبقاء في إحدي الغرف الشاغرة مجانا بدل الإنتظار في المحطة، لعلمه بتأخر موعد القطار. هؤلاء الأشخاص كانوا ملح رحلتنا و الأمل في استمرار إرث غاندي.

“الأرض تكفي لاحتياجات الجميع ، ولكنها لا تكفي لجشع الجميع” غاندي

المساواة بين كل الديانات

هذا المبدأ كان غاليا جدا على قلب غاندي. و كان من أول المبادئ التي انهارت، بقرار تقسيم الهند و باكستان، و ما تلاه من حرب بين المسلمين و الهندوس. و السبب المباشر في وفاة غاندي على يد أحد المتطرفين الهندوس. إن كنت متابعا للحياة السياسية في الهند، فلا شك أنك تعلم أن صعود نجم مودي و توليه رئاسة الحكومة تعزيز للمد اليميني المتطرف في الهند. أتباع مودي ينادون بهند للهندوس، و أصبحوا لا يجدون حرجا في الجهر بذلك. ظل غاندي ينادي بالهند وطنا موحدا للجميع بدون تفريق.

الأحداث الدامية و العنف المنتشر اليوم، يوحيان بأن إرث غاندي منسي ليس فقط في الهند بل في العالم كله. غير أن قوة تأثير غاندي تكمن في الأمل الذي تبعثه تجربته بأن وضعا أفضل ممكن يوما ما.
